We like running and walking on trails right? Yep. We're busy people but we want to keep training and doing stuff during the winter months too. Yep. And we like spending time with other grubby trail people - yep to that too. Starting May 29 total sport & inov-8 are bringing you a mid week trail run/walk night series. After the less than ideal outings at Xterra and Waikaremoana I nearly pulled the pin on this race, I didn’t want to let Braden down with a sub par performance, that was clearly on the cards, but I reasoned with the navigation aspect, and a extra strong tow line for Braden I was hopeful of getting through without letting our team down too much. read more

It’s fair to say I headed to the revamped Waikaremoana race this year very unsure what to expect from the body. After a hugely disappointing Xterra I was still feeling low on energy and despite basically 2 weeks with the feet up the energy had failed to return. Racing can sometimes do funny things to you though and the competitive spirit was still burning brightly enough to front up on the start line for 5th straight year. read more
