Dave Williams is an experienced outdoorsman. When he's not encouraging our young folk to venture into the wilderness in his everyday teaching role, he's out and about, somewhere in the World, going places and doing things that the ordinary person has never thought of.
Dave recently returned from a 5 day adventure around Mount Taranaki. Here are Dave's words:
"Just got back from a 5 day tramp around and up the mountain. Battled through mud bogs, ice, snow, rocks and rivers, gravel, the works, and the shoes took it all like a champ! They were fast draining, light, ridiculously grippy, awesome in the snow (didnt use crampons) they are still in great condition. The photos show me doing some ice face free climbing on the western side of the crater, and did a back flip on the summit in the shoes"
