This winter we are going to mix it up a little, with some night runs, and some weekend runs. Hopefully some in places you didn’t know existed – or at least have not explored before.The runs will be worked around the High Beam team’s weekend event commitments.
We will start with a suburban trail run : Totara Park in the heart of scenic South Auckland.
Meet at the end of Wairere Rd (off Charles Prevost Drive ) at 6.30 pm Wednesday 30 May. Wairere Rd is a deadend street.
Don’t park in the carpark ! You will likely get locked in.
If you look at Totara Park on Google Maps, satellite view, you will see sunlit green rolling fields.It’s a little different on a dark and wet winter’s night – so make sure you have a good headlamp with fresh batteries – and of course your inov-8s.
Following this run we'll look to head further into the wilderness with the likes of the Hunua Ranges, Whitford Forest, and maybe even the Waitakeres...!
