With a number of years of running under our belts, we understand that chosing the correct shoes can be more energy-sapping than the running itself. Although we may not realise, New Zealanders are spolt for choice when it comes to off road walking and running options. There are a multitude of surfaces ranging from hardpack soil and rock through to mud, sand, and clay. Inov-8 manufacture a range of soles to suit these varying conditions. The X Talon sole is the sole of choice among competitive athletes that run predominently on softer surfaces. The studs are long and reasonably spaced to provide maximum grip when the going gets wet.
The Roclite sole is the most versatile in the Inov-8 stable. It is equally at home in soft mud as it is on hard gravel making it the most popular sole choice for New Zealand conditions.
