Nathan Fa’avae of Team Seagate out training on the weekend for World Adventure racing champs.(24 Oct)
Team Seagate is group of NZ athletes who are preparing for a title bid at the 2011 World Adventure Racing Championships in Tasmania, Australia. As part of the build up to the World Championship event the team will also be competing in the Expedition Idaho race in USA.
Members of the team also compete individually and in some cases, in other teams for international events. Team Seagate race in Roclite 295 / 315 and 390 GTX at various stages of their races.

A week out from the start of the 2011 Adventure Racing World Championships, Sportzhub catch up with Team Seagate captain. The teams full of former world champions with Nathan Fa'avae (captain), Chris Forne and Marcel Hagener, past World Adventure racing Champions and Sophie Hart, the current Multisport World Champion after winning this years Speight's Coast to Coast. Report from Nathan Faavae, Team Seagate: Team Seagate competed in the Dun Run this weekend. Results: Marcel 3rd, 1:39, running in Roclite 285, I was 4th in 1:40, Roclite 295, Sophie set a new women’s course record in x-talon 212, 1:52. read more
4 August/ Nathan says: "We're all off to Idaho next week for the first race. Training has been going well for the team and conditions there maybe suited to us more than we expected, there is still a lot of snow in the high mountains where the race will go, possibly crampons and ice axes needed. The 390 boots will be ideal for that."
